23...Kimberley, Falling Rocks and crazy cows

We (Eva, Wim and Aidan) left Broome with two new girls in my car. I got them, because I pinned a lift offer at some noticeboards and only girls phoned me :)
So we went to the Kimberley’s and did a part of the Gibb river Road (Actually the Gibb River Road is recommended for 4WD…but if you’re not living on the edge, you’re taking up to much space...).
Our first stop was Windjana Gorge. But nearly I didn’t reach the Gorge. We were driving and there were these cows, standing beside and on the road. So, I drove a bit slower and suddenly a cow wanted to fight with Michelle (my car). But luckily it wasn’t so stupid and two metres in front of Michelle it turned around and it left passed me.
In the Gorge are heaps of crocs. Lazy crocs who laying around the river. Freshies, so we could take pictures very close.
We continued to the Tunnel Creek NP. A cave, 750m long, where a creek goes through it. Total darkness. Only with a torch you can walk through. And only if you’re not afraid of getting wet, because you have to walk the most time through knee deep (for me) water. And the end of the creek is Aboriginal painting. Not very impressive. Only a few sketches, it was shite. But the walk itself was great, maybe because we shared three crap torches with six people.

We stayed for a night in Fitzroy Crossing, went to the Bottle shop and got new friend. Opposite from the Bottle shop was a park, surrounded by a fence. The Aboriginals are allowed only to drink in that park. But most of them had problems to reach the bottle shop or the park. So some Aboriginals laid (nearly dead) on the ground. I was waiting for the others by my car that they a coming out from the Bottle shop while a Aborigine grabbed the doorhandle and tried to open the car door. I asked him friendly, what he’s doing??? He asked me, if I can bring him home. Of course!!! That is what I always wanted to do. Playing Chauffer for a drunken Aborigine. So after a few “No’s” I shoved him very gentle and friendly to the side to drive away.

We were in Geikie Gorge which wasn’t so great. I did a Boats tour and dropped the average age from seemingly dead to nearly dead.

We came back from the Dirt Road to the sealed Highway and arrived in Kununurra. I checked Michelle and found a crack. A stone flew at the windscreen as I passed a car. It was only half a cm above the seal for the windscreen, tough luck.

We tried to get work again, but it’s very hopeless here. So we head on to Darwin on Monday

22...Broome

Sandra abandoned me!
I've registered in a Job Agency and looked for jobs. Because the others were up for fruitpicking in Kununurra (where Sandra will wait for me...) they left Broome last Sunday. Only Emma and Tim stayed with me. And I hoped to get a job through the Job Agency. I wanted to get a job on a pearling boat, where you can earn 1000$ a week. Few days later I went to the Job Agency and asked, where my job is. The girl in the office told me, that the boats were already out when I've registerd...nice Job Agency. Luckiliy I found a notice, that a funf far looking for guys. So I ended up working at a fun fare. Setting up, Ticket sales and setting down. Start was Wednesday and we finished Sunday morning at 6am, after we began with work at 11:30AM on Saturday. It was 8.60$ per hour at he for 46 h work....Rip off. But it wasn't so bad. It was only the shit money and that they didn't give us food.
Otherwise I laid at the Cable Beach and contemplated the meaning of live.

I heading to Kununurra tomorrow through a part of the Kimberleys with two new lifts.
